Friday, March 30, 2007 ODAC Orientation 2007 (30/3/07) Orientation Group 3 (Eugene Krab) Wednesday was really a disappointing day accompanied by bad weather. The mood was low during CCA sign up. A disappointing number of 42 people signed up for odac compared to 70 plus last year. The response was poor and we were there busy dry running our final orientation. Today's the big day and all that we have been waiting for these 2 years, to have our own juniors. All of us really worked hard for this day to come. Starting our first dry run way back from last dec. The weather was simply strange today; ever changing and we had to decide whether to carry out the dry or wet weather plan. But at last, everything turned for the better and we decided to continue with the dry weather programme which was certainly more fun than the wet-weather. Our group have an equal and small number of 3 guys and 3 girls. I must say that i am really proud of them for cooperating during the games and doing better cheers after every station. Although they didn't win the top prize for orientation and in fact lost all the games, i really appreciate it to see them trying hard for all the games. I felt even greater joy to hear them say that they enjoy the games. Really hope to see them stay in ODAC (: from this activity, its quite obvious to see that all of us are really improving through the lessons learnt after each major event. Although i know that there will be some who will be leaving us due to the tough training that ODACers will undergo for selection, i hope that most of them would stay because as facilitators for the group, i could see that there are definitely potential leaders and fun members in this batch of J1s. Next wednesday will be the next activity - field cooking!! had a really fruitful day today (: although we ended at around 9 plus including meeting for solo night recee tomorrow at ubin!! got to sleep soon.. have to wake up at 0730 tomorrow!! GOODNIGHT EVERYONE AND GOOD JOB FOR ORIENTATION 2007!!! |
